Import Views

Determines if database Views are imported when importing Metadata.

When enabled (the default), the table list presented by Import Metadata includes the source database's views alongside its tables, so views can be selected and imported as source objects. When disabled, only tables are listed.

This setting provides the default for the Import Metadata dialog and can be overridden per connection or project.

When to Change This Setting​

Keep the default Y when source views are part of your integration surface — for example when the source team publishes views as the supported extraction interface. Disable it to keep large view catalogs out of the import selection when you only load from tables.
