Apply Data Type Mapping DV

Determines if the Data Type Mappings are applied to the Data Vault or not. The Data Type Mappings function allows expansion of data types. This setting controls if these expanded data types are applied to the Data Vault.

When to Change This Setting​

Keep the default Y so columns in the Data Vault layer use the expanded data types defined in Data Type Mappings, consistent with the rest of the solution. Disable it to keep Data Vault columns on the unmapped source data types while still applying mappings elsewhere.
