Append Record Source

Determines if the Record Source Code from the connection is appended to the staging object name. This code is normally used as the schema name.

When enabled, objects staged from a source connection (Staging, External, Persistent Staging Area and delete-detection objects) carry the connection's Record Source code in the object name itself, positioned according to the Suffix Or Prefix Object setting.

When to Change This Setting

Keep the default N when the record source lives in the schema name, which is the standard convention. Enable it when the record source must be part of the table name instead — for example when all staged tables share one schema and names from different sources could otherwise collide.
